Human rights violations: inhuman living conditions

Within many health care systems, people often find themselves in institutions far away from anyone they know. Some of these facilities are more like human warehouses than places of care and treatment.

Conditions in many of these institutions are miserable. The buildings are decrepit and filthy. People lack proper clothes, clean water, and food. They also lack respect for their dignity.
