African initiatives on health problems
The first report on health in the African region shows that Africa is developing innovative solutions to reduce disease and mortality. Another report highlighted the high infant mortality rate in Sub-Saharan Africa. However, six countries - Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Madagascar, Malawi, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania - have reversed the trend.
