New vaccines for cervical cancer

A new vaccine against Human Papillomavirus, the virus that causes cervical cancer, has received a marketing licence. Another vaccine may be licensed soon. These vaccines could have a major impact on women's health in the developing world, where more than 250 000 women died from cervical cancer in 2005.
