Dr Stef Bronzwaer

Dr Stef Bronzwaer graduated as medical doctor, completed his Master of Public Health, and took his PhD in Medical Sciences. From 1998 to 2002 Dr Bronzwaer worked in the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Netherlands, as project leader of the European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (EARSS). From 2002 to 2005 Dr Bronzwaer worked at the European Commission in Luxembourg on the implementation of the Community strategy against antimicrobial resistance. Since February 2006 he works at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), in Italy.
