Dr Eric Mitema
Professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nairobi, Kabete, Kenya.
Prof. Eric Mitema is holder of veterinary degree and postgraduate degree in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology. He is a full professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nairobi, Kabete, Kenya. He is leading scientist in his field of veterinary pharmacology and has published over sixty papers in reputable journals and presented very many papers in international journals. His research interest in the ten years has been in the areas of antimicrobial resistances and public health risks. He is a WHO Expert Member of JECFA on veterinary drug residues in food since 1995. He has attended and acted as temporary advisors for many WHO meetings dealing with antimicrobial resistance. He is a member of WHO-AGISAR since its inception in 2009.
