Dr Mussaret Zaidi
Head of the Microbiology Research Laboratory at the Hospital General O’Horan and the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad de la Peninsula de Yucatan in Merida, Mexico
Dr Zaidi's main interests are in surveillance and control of antimicrobial resistance in community and hospital-acquired pathogens. Dr Zaidi is currently Head of the Microbiology Research Laboratory at the Hospital General O'Horan and the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad de la Peninsula de Yucatan in Merida, Mexico. Dr Zaidi holds a degree in Medicine from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, a specialty in pediatrics from the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatan, a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical and Public Health Microbiology from Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and an MSc in Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
