JECFA publications history
Since its first meeting in 1956, JECFA has changed the format, titles, and organization of its publications several times. The following is the publication history for JECFA's principal documents.
reports
JECFA meetings have been published as volumes in the WHO Technical Report Series. The sole exceptions are the reports of the 3rd and 4th meetings, which were published by FAO.

The user should take into account that all previous specifications published in Food and Nutrition Paper were updated and compiled into FNP Series No. 52 in 1992.
Sixty-sixth meeting onwards
Published as volumes in the new FAO JECFA Monograph series; distributed by FAO.
The user should take into account that volumes 1 - 3 of the new FAO JECFA Monographs series replace the existing additions and revisions made since 1992, up to and including those contained in FNP 52 Addendum 13. Volume 4 of this first Monograph series replaces the previous Food and Nutrition Paper 5 and provides a reference for analytical methods and test procedures used in, and referenced by the specifications.
