Dr Neyla Gargouri

Dr Neyla Gargouri is currently Medical Officer at Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Her previous positions include Head of the Surveillance Department at the Ministry of Health, Jordan (2005-2007), Leishmaniasis Program Manager at the Ministry of Health, Jordan (2003-2005), Head of the Medical Parasitology Department, Ministry of Health, Jordan (2002-2003). Dr Gargouri is a physician, board certified in Medical Parasitology and Clinical Labs. She had been trained for two years in applied epidemiology by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
She always had an interest in Public Health particularly in the epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases. Her principal research interests are leishmaniasis and foodborne diseases. She has held several advisory and consultancy positions with the World Health Organization and other international agencies.
