A Joint Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)/International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)/WHO Study Group on High Dose Irradiation (Wholesomeness of Food Irradiated with Doses above 10 kGy) was convened at WHO headquarters from 15 to 19 September 1997. Since the full report of this Study Group, which will be published in the WHO Technical Report Series, will not be available before the third quarter of 1998, its Conclusions and Recommendations are reproduced below.
