At the request of the Codex Executive Committee, and in collaboration with FAO, WHO organized a Consultation on the Application of Risk Analysis to Food Standards Issues (Geneva, March 1995). The Consultation was a significant event in the international application of risk analysis, particularly in the context of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and trade implications under the WTO Agreements.
