At the request of the Codex Executive Committee, and in collaboration with FAO, WHO organized a Consultation on the application of risk analysis to food standards issues (Geneva, March 1995). The consultation was a significant event in the international application of risk analysis, particularly in the context of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and trade implications under the WTO Agreements.
