Czech Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases (ČARO) lauched 28 November 2007, Prague, Czech Republic
The announcement of the Czech Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases (ČARO) took place in Prague, Czech Republic, 28 November 2007 at the presence of Mr Karel Korytář, member of the Parliament (Committee for Health and Social Care), Mr Vítězslav Vavroušek, Senator (Committee for Health), Dr Michael Vít, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health and Public Health Officer and Dr Stanislava Pánová, Head of the Department of Healthcare of the Ministry of Health. Dr Alena Steflova, Head, WHO Country Office, was also present.
The event was organized by Professor Vítězslav Kolek, Czech Pneumological and Phthiseological Society and by Professor Vaclav Spikac, Czech Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology.
Representatives of different organizations working in the field of chronic respiratory diseases were present. As ČARO participants, they signed a proclamation, in order to commit to the development of the alliance at country level.
