GARD initiative in Italy was launched in June 2009 (GARD-I) by the Ministry of Health in coordination with GARD.
GARD-I is a voluntary national alliance involving main national stakeholders in the field of respiratory diseases, such as scientific societies, patient organizations and universities, aimed at the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to combat respiratory diseases.
The participants of GARD-I share the common goal of improving respiratory health through an integrated approach.
