WHO gender policy: Integrating gender perspectives in the work of WHO
OVERVIEW
WHO has identified gender as an issue cutting across all of its programmes and activities. In 2002, the Director-General of WHO issued a policy statement highlighting a strong and visible political commitment to promoting gender equity in health.
