OVERVIEW
This review document brings together up-to-date knowledge on how gender norms increase the risk of, and vulnerability to, HIV/AIDS. It also reviews approaches for addressing gender in HIV/AIDS programmes as well as examples of different types of HIV/AIDS programmes.
