Global Health Observatory (GHO) data

Epidemics of cholera: Similarly to 2012, the global number of cholera reported cases decreased in 2013. However during 2013, cholera outbreaks still affected several continents and continued to pose a serious public health problem among developing world populations with no proper access to adequate water and sanitation resources. In 2013, 43.6% of cases were reported from Africa whereas between 2001 and 2009, 93% to 98% of total cases worldwide were reported from that continent.
