The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requires Parties to ban all forms of advertising, promotion and sponsorship by the tobacco industry.
As at December 2010, only 19 WHO Member States had complete policies that had comprehensive bans on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
