WARNING LABEL POLICIES, BY WHO REGION, 2014

The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requires Parties to adopt effective measures that clearly communicate the harmful effects of tobacco use, and not allow misleading information on tobacco product packaging.
As at December 2014, 42 WHO Member States had implemented strong graphic health warnings covering at least 50% of the cigarette pack, with text in large, clear, visible and legible font, written in all principal languages of the country, and appearing on both unit packets and any outside packaging.
