Drafts of Sri Lanka’s eHealth policy, strategic plan and standards and guidelines appear in a suite of separate, complementary documents.


This is a draft policy to support the implementation of ICT solutions within the healthcare system at the national level. It outlines six goals related to developing an architectural model, ICT management, connectivity, communication interface, privacy and confidentiality, security and data standards.

This draft eHealth strategy was completed in 2011; a full strategic plan will be published after the completion of a stakeholder consultation process. It outlines a plan for the national coordination of electronic systems in three overlapping phases: capacity building; infrastructure development; and long-term maintenance and sustainability.
