Serbia commits to the first Global Patient Safety Challenge, "Clean Care is Safer Care"

A signing ceremony for the first Global Patient Safety Challenge, "Clean Care is Safer Care", took place in Belgrade on 3 April attended by Professor Dr Tomica Milosavljevic (Minister of Health), representatives of the WHO Country Office and members of the National Committee.

Following a short presentation on the first Global Patient Safety Challenge and the situation in Serbia, including an action plan in this area, the Minister of Health signed the statement pledging support to the initiative. The signed statement was handed over to Dr. Dorit Nitzan, WHO Head of Country Offices in Serbia and in Montenegro.
