Clean Care is Safer Care

An example of a statement pledging support to address health care-associated infection

Since the launch of Clean Care is Safer Care in 2005, WHO has invited all Member States to participate in this initiative in exploring how Clean Care is Safer Care can support country responses to improve the safety of health care. One of the major implementation strategies of Clean Care is Safer Care has involved inviting ministers of health from each Member State to produce a written statement committing to support this important issue.

124 countries or areas have pledged their support to address health care-associated infection. Through this process a strong message is being delivered on the global commitment to address this problem.
