International Crises
Crises can affect one or more areas in a country, the entire country or spill over the borders and take a definite international angle. Several current crises are taking place within a sub-regional group of countries. The flow of refugees, the spread of communicable diseases, illegal trade and cross-border military operations are frequent occurrences that can further de-stabilize countries struck by crises.
For each international crisis listed below you will find a description of the crisis, links to documents pertaining to the crisis as a whole and links to the specific country pages for the countries included in the sub-region.
Emergency Response Framework (ERF)
ERF is to clarify WHO’s roles and responsibilities and to provide a common approach for its work in emergencies.
