FAQs: Japan tsunami concerns
21 March 2011
What is WHO doing to address the health concerns?
Currently, WHO is closely monitoring the evolving situation and conducting risk assessments in collaboration with national and local authorities in order to advise of potential health threats and what can be done to prevent and respond to them. Japan has strong internal capacity to respond to the humanitarian situation. If additional support is required, WHO has readied its expert staff and assets for deployment.
