"The Korean Foundation for International Healthcare -- Dr Lee Jong-Wook Memorial Fund" (K-FIH) donated US$100,000 at the 60th World Health Assembly in Geneva, to the World Health Organization for support of emergency work in Nepal.

The foundation began commemorating Dr Lee, the former Director-General of WHO, last year after he died at the beginning of the World Health Assembly. The donation is their first contribution to WHO since the foundation was established three years ago and will be used to improve health surveillance systems and provide emergency medicines and supplies in Nepal.
