Country measurement and evaluation

Partners

The core monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities are conducted by the WHO department of Health Statistics and Informatics, but it is an informal collaboration of many global partners with different roles and contributions:

  • African Population & Health Research Center
    Organizes and co-facilitates the multi-country workshops.
  • GAVI Alliance
    Contributes to the policy and technical development of CHeSS as part of IHP+ work and the Joint Health Systems Funding platform, and financially supports the tool development and multi-country workshops on analysis.
  • ICF Macro
    Organizes and co-facilitates the multi-country workshops.
  • IHP+ Partners (Department for International Development – DFID)
    Supports the country technical assistance to strengthen M&E as follow-up to JANS.
  • IHP+ Partners (Norad)
    Supports a staff secondment to WHO to develop the technology platform in support of country health observatories.
  • The Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
    Contributes to the policy and technical development of CHeSS as part of the Joint Health Systems Funding platform, and financially supports the multi-country workshops on analysis.
  • The Rockefeller Foundation
    Provides financial support to WHO to develop the framework, tools and country technical assistance as part of its work on Universal Health Coverage.
  • The World Bank
    Contributes to the policy and technical development of CHeSS as part of IHP+ work and the Joint Health Systems Funding platform.
  • UNICEF
    Provides technical facilitation at multi-country workshops.
  • World Health Organization
    The core activities are conducted by the department of Health Statistics & Informatics, but major inputs are provided by a range of departments within WHO.
