Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2000 estimates
Mortality, Years of Life Lost (YLL), Years Lost due to Disability (YLD) and Disability-Adjusted Life-Years (DALYs) by sex, cause and WHO region, estimates for 2000 for versions 1, 2 and 3 of the GBD 2000 study are available below.
- Version 1 results for 2000 are as published in the World Health Report 2001 and documented in Discussion Paper 36.
- Version 2 results for 2000 are consistent with the results for 2001 published in the World Health Report 2002 and documented in Discussion Paper 50.
- Version 3 results for 2000 have been revised to take into account newly available mortality and epidemiological data and are consistent with the results for 2002 published in the World Health Report 2003 and documented in Discussion Paper 54.
