The Global Health Informatics Partnership (GHIP) is launched today. Its mission is to support healthcare systems worldwide in using information for improving the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the services they provide. One of GHIP's goals is to establish and support an international collaborative learning community focused on the use of health care information to improve health care delivery worldwide. It will develop tools and best practices for providing education, training and skills to health providers and information consumers at all levels for leveraging information and communications technologies. GHIP was launched by the American Medical Informatics Association in Bethesda, Maryland, US and it is led by Robert Mayes, Executive Director. GHIP is an HMN partner.
