West Bank and Gaza Strip: newest user of HMN Framework

The West Bank and Gaza Strip have begun using the HMN Framework and are its newest user. The media This Week in Palestine reports that there has been a major focus on improving the health information system which has been "incomplete, fragmented, unreliable, and outdated." It says that in September 2010 a workshop was held to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current health information system using the Health Metrics Network assessment tool. This will allow identification and implementation of the necessary improvements, and results will feed into a health information strategy covering the territory.
