The session will discuss major challenges to be addressed for preventing
HIV transmission through unsafe blood and injections, sharing of experiences from country success stores for ensuring Blood safety and Injection safety, followed by a panel discussion to identify priority actions to ensure blood and injection safety.
This would also include comprehensive strategies to prevent HIV transmission
to patients, health care workers and the community at large. This will
be reviewed through discussion of key interventions that should be implemented to ensure blood and injection safety:
