United Nations Human Rights Treaty Monitoring Bodies

On 8 May 2000, WHO made a statement to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights to congratulate the Committee on its draft General Comment on the right to the highest attainable standard health, which was subsequently adopted later that month.
On 28 September 2001, WHO made a submission to the Committee on the Rights of the Child for its Day of General Discussion on the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
