Rapid Review of Health Evidence for the Draft London Plan
Resource/Evaluation type
Rapid health impact assessment
Subject area
Development
Summary
United Kingdom
This rapid review provides a health evidence base for the Spatial Development Strategy of Greater London. Drawing mainly on published review material, it identifies the effects which the proposed policy directions in the “Towards the London Plan” may have on determinants of health for different populations in the city. The report identifies areas where changes in health might occur, without providing estimates of the magnitude of possible effects.
This paper is divided into two main sections. The first presents key findings from the evidence base under nine headings. The second section is the health evidence base itself, structured according to policy directions set out within the "Towards the London Plan" framework.
