This four-volume handbook presents the requirements and procedures in order to incorporate the assessment of health effects into the environmental assessment (EA) process. It is designed to provide guidance, irrespective of which particular EA process is used.
The handbook also provides answers to commonly asked questions concerning health in EA. Its objective is to encourage and help people with knowledge of the health sector to participate in the environmental assessment process. It should be particularly useful to participants from the medical sector, the social sciences, as well as government and industry health experts.
