Access to the British National Formulary and BNF for Children
14 March 2011 - HINARI users now have access to The British National Formulary (BNF). This database provides healthcare professionals with authoritative and practical health information on the selection and clinic use of medicine.
From the ‘Full-text journals, databases, and other resources’ page, click on the ‘Reference Sources’ drop down menu - to access the BNF. The resource is divided into broad sections: Guidance on prescribing, Emergency treatment of poisoning, Notes on drugs and prescribing (further divided into subjects such as central nervous system, nutrition, obgyn, skin, etc.) and numerous appendices and indices. The BNF for Children also is available from the ‘Reference Sources’ drop down menu and has similar access points. Those working in a clinical setting may find these resources of particular interest.
