Monitoring and evaluation can be used for two main purposes:
- to regularly check and evaluate the processes and results of a programme's activities and
- to inform donors on the programme's effectiveness and efficiency.
This document was developed with the active involvement of many national and international institutions over the past three years, and is ready for field testing the partners of WHO/AMDS and other interested PSM professionals. The next final revised version will take into account the feedback from the field staff and from partners who will have field tested it.
