WHO develops Strategy to guide global health sector response to HIV in 2011-2015

World Health Organization Executive Board expressed broad support to the newly developed Draft Global Health Sector Strategy for HIV, 2011-2015, at its 128th Session. The new Strategy aims to guide the response of the health sector to HIV epidemics in order to achieve universal access to prevention, treatment, care and support, improving related health outcomes and strengthening health systems. The Strategy was requested by the World Health Assembly Resolution WHA63.19 and the draft will now be submitted for the 64th World Health Assembly to take place in May 2011.
