Prevention among transgender communities: Fabiana's story

Blaring disco music and a bright neon sign advertising salon 'D'Faby' alert passers-by of this newest hairdressing salon on the block. But though it's Saturday morning, the busiest time in any hairdressers' week, salon owner Fabiana Perez, is preparing to leave.

Fabiana, 21, is a prime-mover behind 'Amazonas', an organization doing HIV prevention work among travesties (transgenders) in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
