Meeting report from a sub-regional consultation Windhoek, Namibia 9-10 June 2009
In March 2007, WHO and UNAIDS released recommendations on male circumcision as an additional HIV prevention intervention. As two years have passed since the initial release, sixty-seven participants from ten countries (Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe) attended a sub-regional consultation in Windhoek, Namibia on 9 -10 June, 2009, to report on progress, share experiences, exchange ideas and forge collaborations in the male circumcision efforts.
