First core expert consultation: Increasing access to health workers in remote and rural areas through improved retention
6–7 April 2009, World Health Organization, Geneva
After the successful launch of the programme and the first meeting of the full expert group, a small group of experts gathered to discuss in more detail evidence gaps and additional research produced. The core group also began discussion on a draft outline of the recommendations, which will be further refined during the next meeting of the full expert group, with a view to begin drafting the recommendations in the second half of 2009.
