The 12th Global Advisory Group for Nursing and Midwifery Development (GAGNM)

The GAGNM is a strategic, action-oriented body providing strategic and policy advice to the WHO Director-General to enhance the contributions of nursing and midwifery within the context of WHO priorities and programs.

The 2008 World Health Report Primary Health Care - Now More Than Ever provides yet another important platform for GAGNM's input on policies related to nursing and midwifery services.

Part of this meeting outcomes will be strategic approaches on the contribution of nursing and midwifery to the renewed Primary Health Care (PHC) and policy advise to the Director-General on enhancing the contribution of nursing and midwifery to renewed PHC.
