Launch of Version 3 of the ICTRP Search Portal including addition of 4 new Data Providers

Version 3 of the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform Search Portal was released. Accompanying this event was the addition of four additional Data Providers to the portal. The new version implements a new way of displaying search results by grouping together multiple records about the same trial. It does this by matching main trial identifiers to secondary trial identifiers found in trial records.
To view all records on a trial, click the + symbol:
The record with the earliest date of registration is always shown first:
This new display method will unambiguously identify trials when trial details have been recorded in more than one trials register and secondary identifiers have been entered.
This is important as four more data providers have started to supply their trial registration records to the ICTRP Search Portal:
- Chinese Clinical Trial Register (ChiCTR)
- Clinical Trials Registry - India (CTRI)
- German Clinical Trials Register (DRKS)
- The Netherlands National Trial Register (NTR)
All four of these Data Providers are also WHO Primary Registries and meet the requirements of the ICMJE.
