Biosafety and laboratory biosecurity
Coordinate biosafety and laboratory biosecurity activities with WHO Regional Offices
- Collaborate with Regional Biosafety programme points of contact (PoC) in each Regional Office for local programme implementation
- Engage PoCs on status and needs of programmes in their Regions
- Utilize WHO programmes and WHO CCs to provide biosafety and biosecurity training in the Regions
- Strengthen communication practices with regional PoCs during disease outbreaks (avian influenza H5N1, pandemic influenza)
