RELEASE OF IHR (2005) 2ND EDITION
The 2nd Edition of the IHR (2005) will be released in 2008 in the six official WHO languages.
GUIDANCE FOR SHIP SANITATION CERTIFICATES
The IHR (2005) contain new requirements for States Parties with respect to designated airports, ports and ground crossings that update routine measures with regard to the public health risks resulting from increased international travel and transport. In this connection, WHO has developed a number of guidance documents, including the

IHR EVENT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SITE
Under the IHR (2005), WHO has developed an event management system to capture and manage critical information concerning public health events, risks and emergencies. The system also ensures the transfer of accurate and timely information about such events between WHO Headquarters, Regional and Country Offices, collaborating centres and other partners in the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN). This site was designed for use by National IHR Focal Points.
