Institut Pasteur and WHO sign Memorandum of Understanding

On 13 September 2012 representatives of the Institut Pasteur and the Government of France gathered at WHO headquarters in Geneva to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to join efforts in epidemic response and global health security. The objective of the partnership is to support countries to reinforce their surveillance, detection and response capacities as set out in the IHR (2005). While the two organizations have a long history of collaboration, the MoU underscores the need for collective action to intensify actions in the face of public health challenges in the 21st century.

Laboratory Quality Management System Training Toolkit available on CD-ROM in French

This training toolkit provides comprehensive materials for designing and organizing laboratory quality management training workshops for all stakeholders in health laboratory processes, from management to administration, to bench-work laboratorians. The training toolkit was first available in English on the WHO web site and on CD-ROM, and then in French on the WHO web site. The materials are now available on CD-ROM in French. They will soon be available in Russian.
