Overview
This document is intended to describe the WHO/NICD microbiology External Quality Assessment (EQA) programme, its policies and procedures, and to summarize the contents of the surveys from 2002 to 2006. It also provides samples of technical documents useful for setting up an EQA programme. This document is primarily intended for individuals participating in the WHO/NICD EQA programme. It may also be useful for supervisors of national public health surveillance systems and for individuals with responsibilities in the area of laboratory capacity development.
