Vaccines and biologicals : report of the seventh meeting of the Technical Consultative Group (TCG) on the Global Eradication of Poliomyelitis, Geneva, 9-11 April 2002
Focus this year was on the current polio situation in the 10 remaining polio-endemic countries, and on country-specific recommendations on how to fine-tune the implementation of the two main polio eradication strategies (AFP surveillance and supplementary OPV immunization) to interrupt wild poliovirus transmission as soon as possible. The TCG also focused on issues related to the development of post-certification immunization policy development.
