Vaccine fund years

Pre-VF year: this refers to the most recent year for which data on expenditures and immunization financing are available before support for immunization from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) was made available to countries. This corresponds to the year before the any GAVI awards provided by the GAVI Fund are received and implemented by a country (for new vaccines, immunization services strengthening and injection safety).

VF year: this refers to the most recent year for which complete data on expenditures and immunization financing are available after implementation of support received by the country from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI). This corresponds to the first year after GAVI Fund support was received and implemented by the national immunization programme, or the second year of such support with at least a full year of implementation in either case.
