Status as of May 2013
By February 2013, 29 countries have been validated as having achieved MNT elimination: Bangladesh, Benin, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, China, Comoros, Congo (the), Egypt, Eritrea, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Timor-Leste Turkey, Uganda, Viet Nam, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In addition, Ethiopia (all except Somali region), 29 Provinces in Indonesia and 15 States and Union Territories in India (listed below) were also validated as having eliminated MNT: Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh & Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Punjab & Sikkim, Tamil Nadu & West Bengal, as well as 2 regions in Inondesia: Jave & Bali and Sumatra
