E6: Thermometers, thermo-recorders and indicators
PQS E06 temperature monitoring devices section becomes active on 1 October 2007.
With the closing of the transition period for prequalification application of PIS listed equipment and devices on 30 September 2007, WHO announces recently prequalified products and shuts down the PIS E06 section. From this day on, WHO does not recommend PIS listed E06 equipment and devices if they are not prequalified under the PQS E06 section.
Prequalified E06 devices
Readers should note that with the introduction of the PQS system in temperature monitoring devices, effective from 1 October 2007, all items listed in PIS 2000 Edition WHO/V&B/00.13 "Section E6: Thermometers, thermo-recorders and indicators" are NO LONGER VALID. New PQS codes are issued to equipment/devices that comply with new specifications and verification protocols for temperature monitoring devices under the PQS system. E06 items that appear only in the PIS catalogue but not in the list of prequalified devices of the PQS system are no longer recommended by the WHO.
