Training Activities:
The ICN has developed a series of fact sheets on immunization including immunization safety, AEFI, waste disposal, cold chain and AD syringes which are available in English, French and Spanish. The fact sheets have been disseminated to National Nurses Associations (NNAs) in 129 countries. The materials are intended to be used by nurses and others as a continuing educational resource and quick reference in the field. ICN, in partnership with WHO, developed "Best Practices in Injection Safety" which has also been widely disseminated.
Currently the ICN is in the process of developing a monograph on immunization which will include new vaccines and underutilised vaccines.
The ICN also organizes training programmes such as symposiums and other training sessions during its conferences/congresses on immunization, vaccines and biologicals.
