Training Activities:
PATH has implemented training for a variety of immunization services in several countries, developing and distributing modules to educate health workers on vaccination techniques, safe injection, waste disposal, and more. Program managers and health officers receive supportive supervision training as a means to improve service and quality of care at clinic and hospital facilities.
PATH's Advanced Immunization Management e-learning tool provides resources and guidance to national immunization managers, in-country officials, and global partners for informed decision-making on vaccine introduction and immunization financing. Modules are available on considerations for introduction of Japanese encephalitis and hepatitis B vaccines, and a module on meningococcal vaccine is in development. PATH is working with WHO, CDC, and UNICEF to develop a module on how to use the WHO Measles Strategic Planning (MSP) tool to help countries identify optional cost-appropriate vaccination strategies to achieve their measles programme objectives.
