Indoor air pollution and household energy monitoring: Workshop resources
In 2005, WHO organized a series of 5-day training workshops as a step towards building regional capacity in the area of household energy and indoor air pollution monitoring. These training workshops were designed to empower governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as research institutions to evaluate the impact of intervention projects or programmes.
This resource provides a brief summary of the content of the five main modules of the workshop:
- Evaluation basics;
- Indoor air pollution monitoring;
- Monitoring impacts on health and well-being;
- Monitoring stove performance; and
- Monitoring socioeconomic impacts
As past and future workshops are unlikely to meet the high demand for training in this area, this resource can be used as a training manual that introduces key concepts and evaluation methods in an accessible way.
